AI mentorship · Plaimaker

Help your design team work better with AI.

I work alongside design and product teams on the projects they already have running. Together we find where AI really saves time, where it only adds noise, and how to bring it into your process without breaking it.

Formats

Three ways
to work together.

Every team starts from a different place. We pick the format that fits where you are now, and we work on your real files and deadlines from day one.

  1. 01

    Process audit

One or two weeks to understand how you work today and where AI makes sense. It ends with a written map of priorities.

  2. 02

    Hands-on mentorship

Recurring sessions with the team on live projects, from brief to delivery, with async feedback in between.

  3. 03

    Focused workshops

Half-day sessions on one topic: research, prototyping, design systems, internal communication.

You end up with a written method tailored to your team, one that keeps working after I'm gone.

How it works

No calendar link. A short brief first, so we both know it's a fit.

  1. 01

    Write to me

The form below asks for goals, priorities and timing. A few minutes, no calls yet.

  2. 02

    I reply in 2 days

I read every request personally. If it's a fit, I suggest a short intro call.

  3. 03

    A clear proposal

Scope, timing and fee in writing, agreed together before anything starts.

  4. 04

    We get to work

Remote sessions on your projects, async feedback, and a written method at the end.

Omar Mootamri, designer and AI mentor
Omar Mootamri Designer · AI mentor

I'm Omar, a designer with more than ten years of experience. I started in agencies, worked with studios, and today I work independently on digital products and brand identities, across UX, strategy and visual design.

AI is part of my everyday work. I build some of my own tools when the existing ones fall short, like Shader Studio and RatioDS.

Anyone can learn a tool in an afternoon. Knowing when, how and why to use it is what changes a team's work, and that's what I help with.

Questions about the AI mentorship

Anything else? Ask it in the form below, I answer personally.

[01]Is the mentorship fully remote?

Yes. Sessions run on video calls, with async feedback on your files in between. Sessions are planned around your time zone.

English or Italian, whichever your team prefers. Written material at the end comes in the same language.

In-house design and product teams, studios and agencies. With larger organisations it usually makes sense to start with one team and a process audit, then extend.

The ones that fit your work, not a fixed list. Typically Claude, ChatGPT and Codex for thinking and writing, Claude Code and Cursor for prototyping, Figma Make and image tools for visual exploration. I care more about where a tool goes in your process than about the tool itself.

It depends on format, team size and duration, so every engagement gets its own proposal. Send me the brief through the form below: once I know the context, I come back with scope, timing and fee before anything starts.
